#A QUIET PLACE ALIEN MOVIE#
What are their habitats and what are they doing when they aren’t killing humans? They don’t appear to eat people, so what is their motivation to hunt down humans making noise to the point that they’re creeping around their basements? Do they just hate noise, in which case wouldn’t they run away from noise and not towards it? Or if they use noise to locate living creatures, why don’t they eat the creatures or utilize them in some way instead of just mindlessly killing them?įrankly I’m not clear on why the Abbotts even left the farm? The aliens coming at the end of the first movie seem to have all been killed. Space agencies monitor every asteroid and large space object in our vicinity.wouldn’t humanity have had a few days notice that something huge is barreling towards earth and to evacuate the area?Īnd the nature of the aliens doesn’t really make sense. Whether they arrived on an asteroid or a spaceship, how did they survive the impact of the crash landing?Īnd if they were somehow clinging to an asteroid, how did the aliens not burn up in the atmosphere? I was fairly entertained watching the movie, but the more I think about it, the more I’m bothered by the aliens. This has already been mentioned, but if things unraveled this quickly, I don't see how Lee could have gotten his hands on the newspapers clippings we saw in the first film. This isn't really a plot hole, but if the Long Island people want others to come to them, then why make the directions so cryptic? And why not broadcast useful information (such as the aliens drowning in water)? Maybe not a plot hole, but the island people are kind of douchey. I suppose they could have blown them up, but we don't get any indication that this was done. Isn't the safe-space on Long Island? Long Island has multiple bridges and tunnels connecting to the mainland. But again, we have no indication that the aliens have technology. If these are ships, then they could do it. It's possible, but it seems unlikely to me. all have a bunch of islands to keep operating from.įor the meteors to land worldwide, they'd have to be spaced out enough in space to keep hitting the Earth as it rotates for a day. The US, Canada, Denmark, UK, India, Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, etc. It seems to me that a number of governments in the world should still be functioning in some capacity, rather than completely collapsed. But every US island and island base? Every island country? That doesn't strike me as likely. North/South America, Asia/Africa/Europe, Australia and Greenland are pretty big, so I'll buy them all getting hit.

Even with multiple landings, it's pretty unlikely that the aliens would strike every landmass.

The aliens rush towards the sound, fall into the water and die. You just equip a boat with speakers, sail it out a few hundred feet, and then hit play. If the aliens can't swim, that makes alien fighting pretty straightforward. But we aren't shown anything to indicate that the aliens posses any technology. I suppose if these are ships, rather than meteors and can slow their descent, you can handwave that away. The shockwave from that big a meteor crashing would flatten the town. Here's a list of my plotholes for this film: I think we're supposed to take that to mean that things are deteriorating enough that soldiers are calling up family members to warn them - which would indicate multiple landings. I'll throw in Emmet saying his brother who's in the military tried to leave a message for him. He news report of the "bomb" has already been mentioned as indicating multiple landings.
